Jet Hawks Ballpark was the site of a competitive game between the Grand Rapids Jet Hawks and Santa Rosa Desperados.

The Santa Rosa Desperados weathered a fine game by Grand Rapids second baseman Caleb Herd to upend the Jet Hawks, 5-3, at Jet Hawks Ballpark. Herd went 2 for 4 with a home run, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. Santa Rosa reliever Shu-de Khu was the winner. His record is now 3-0. Josh Williams took the loss. Chris Erickson earned his 6th save in 8 chances.

Justin Krystofiak had a timely hit in the top of the fifth inning. With two out and runners on 1st and 3rd, the Santa Rosa catcher hit a run-scoring single. That put the Desperados in front, 4-3.

"We did a lot of things right," said Krystofiak.

The 5th-place Desperados now sit at 42-52.
