Jet Hawks Ballpark was the site of a competitive game between the Grand Rapids Jet Hawks and Fremont Ambassadors.

The Fremont Ambassadors used the hitting of pitcher Gregg Cuevas to subdue the Grand Rapids Jet Hawks, 1-0. For the game, Cuevas threw 5.2 innings of shutout ball. Cuevas, the winner, moves to 3-6. He threw 5.2 innings of 3-hit ball, while fanning 3 and giving up no walks. Picking up the save was 23-year old left-handed pitcher Xavier Tomlin.

The Ambassadors got a big at-bat from third baseman Jimmy Kimmel. For the game, Kimmel was 1 for 4 with a home run. In the top of the fourth, with the bases empty, he stroked a solo home run. His 10th home run of the season gave Fremont a 1-0 lead.

"It's the best feeling when you come through for your teammates," said Cuevas.

The Ambassadors improved their record to 39-54 by beating Grand Rapids.
