Kansas City Loss Tarnishes Fine Game by Cooper
The Huntsville Rockets had to overcome a big game from Kansas City second baseman Ricky Cooper to leave Ballpark of Austin with a victory. And they did, winning, 9-6. Cooper went 3-4 with 2 home runs and a double, while adding 4 RBI and scoring twice. The losses continue to mount for Kansas City, which has now dropped 6 in a row.

Nick Springer cracked a home run off Mario Guillen in the bottom of the seventh. His 2-run blast put the Rockets on top, 7-6. In all, Springer had 1 single in addition to the home run, while going 2 for 5.

"We're in a little bit of a dry spell," said Kansas City manager Jaden White.
