Grand Rapids Gets 3-2 Road Win
The Grand Rapids Jet Hawks had to overcome a good performance from Glace Bay pitcher Josh Parrish to claim a 3-2 win at Miners Memorial Bowl. Parrish went 5.1 innings and allowed no runs. Picking up the win was Freddy Arellanos. He went 6 innings, allowing 2 runs on 6 hits. The left--hander struck out 8 and walked 1. Grand Rapids raised its record to 48-42 with the win.

Grand Rapids used the timely hitting of Yoshimichi Amano to seize the win. The left fielder stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the seventh inning to put the Jet Hawks on top, 3-2. It was his only hit in 3 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.

"I'll probably toss and turn tonight," Glace Bay manager Angel Cano said, following the tough loss.
