Desperados Get Hard-Earned Win, Stop Jet Hawks, 5-4
Despite the exploits of designated hitter Devin Lepp, the Grand Rapids Jet Hawks were beaten by the Santa Rosa Desperados, 5-4, in 10 innings. Lepp went 3-4 with 2 home runs and a walk, while adding 3 RBI and scoring twice. Santa Rosa reliever Zack Vandermark picked up the win, raising his record to 3-0. James Straughn was tagged with the loss. Santa Rosa, at 61-31, occupies second place in the Northern A East Division.

Santa Rosa needed the clutch hitting of Jessie Cable to seal the deal. The shortstop swatted a solo home run in the top of the tenth inning to put the Desperados on top, 5-4. For the game, Cable had 1 home run and 2 singles in 5 at-bats.
