The Santa Rosa Desperados tallied a win at Jet Hawks Ballpark, throttling the Grand Rapids Jet Hawks, 8-1. Starting pitcher Greg Brando was a big reason for his team's success. The winning pitcher was Brando, now 6-1. He tossed 7.1 innings of 5-hit ball, while walking 2 and fanning 8. With the win, the Desperados sit at 60-31.

Santa Rosa used a well-timed hit by Rich Hebert to capture the win. The third baseman socked a bases-clearing double in the top of the first inning to put the Desperados ahead, 3-0. Though it was his only hit in 4 at-bats, it was important.
