Led by Danny Rodriguez, the Glace Bay Miners downed the Grand Rapids Jet Hawks, 10-3. Rodriguez went 2 for 3 with a home run, a double, and a walk, while adding 4 RBI and scoring once for the Miners. Troy Conner was the winner. He's now 7-1. The loser was 24-year old left-handed pitcher Ben Wiggins. The Miners lead the Northern A East Division by a game.

Rodriguez contributed a big hit, a 3-run home run, for Glace Bay in the bottom of the second. With his team trailing 2-1, Rodriguez took a fastball from Ben Wiggins and stroked the home run to right. His 6th home run of the season allowed the Miners to leap in front, 4-2.

"It's nice to come out on top today," said Rodriguez.
