Jet Hawks Stumble, Lose 4-2 to Rockets
|
Riding the 3-hit performance of the 22-year old left fielder Joe Bronson, the Huntsville Rockets stopped the Grand Rapids Jet Hawks, 4-2, in 9 innings. Picking up the win was Orlando Gonzalez. He went 5 innings, allowing 1 run on 4 hits. The right--hander struck out 1 and walked 5. With the win, the Rockets have a record of 53-35.
Mike Ellis had a direct impact on the outcome. Ellis contributed a 2-run single in the top of the sixth inning to put Huntsville up, 4-0.
"Our guys are never satisfied," said Huntsville manager Alec Roller.
