The Tampa Capitals beat the Deltaville Deltas, 7-3, at Rogers Centre. Tampa designated hitter Danny Pinto had an outstanding performance. He went 4 for 5 with a home run, a double, and 2 singles, while adding 4 RBI and scoring once. Melvin Mendoza, now 4-1, picked up the win in relief. He allowed 1 run on 3 hits in 3.2 innings. The Capitals raised their record to 51-38.

Tampa took a 5-1 lead on Pinto's 6th home run of the season. The 3-run home run, which he hit off Bobby Nicholson in the top of the eighth, propelled Tampa to the win.
