|
Newark got a strong outing from Eddie Sarabia as the Flyers defeated the Huntsville Rockets, 4-1, at Ballpark of Austin. Sarabia yielded 1 run over 5.1 innings to notch the win. He scattered 6 hits, walked 3, and struck out 7. His record improves to 13-2. The triumph puts Newark at 58-30 for the season.
Newark used a well-timed hit by Evan McCulley to capture the win. The catcher socked a 2-run double in the top of the fifth inning to put the Flyers ahead, 3-1. Though it was his only hit in 3 at-bats, it was important.
"We have a lot of confidence in Eddie," said Newark manager Carlos Almendarez.
