Down to Defeat Goes Grand Rapids, 6-3

Tyler and Grand Rapids duked it out and the Trolls came out victorious.
The Tyler Trolls knocked off the Grand Rapids Jet Hawks, 6-3, in Northern A action at Trolls Field. Tyler pitcher and Taylor, Michigan, native Arturo Feliciano had an outstanding performance. Feliciano picked up the win for Tyler, going 6.2 innings. He gave up 3 runs on 7 hits. He now sports a record of 6-8.
The Jet Hawks had been locked in a 3-3 tie with the Trolls going into the bottom of the sixth inning. That changed quickly when the 19-year old left fielder David Torres came to the plate. Torres hit a 3-run home run on a full count cutter from Grand Rapids hurler Trevor Hill. It was Torres's 5th home run of the year.
Tyler manager Will Brewer was pleased with the team's effort. "Our guys played hard," he said.
The third-place Jet Hawks have dropped 7 straight games.
