Blue Jays Roll Over Miners, 9-2
The St. Catharines Blue Jays got a strong performance from pitcher Jon Agans, who stymied the Glace Bay offense en route to a win, 9-2, at Engineers Ballpark. The first-place Blue Jays go to 55-32.

Lyle Blakesley had a big run-scoring double for the Blue Jays in the bottom of the fifth inning. With St. Catharines leading 3-2 and a runner on 2nd, he got a sinker from 22-year old right-handed pitcher Peter Hoster and swatted a double to right. It was his 15th double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Blue Jays ahead, 4-2.

"We take it day by day here," said Blakesley, "and today was a good one for us."
