Blue Jays Collect 10-7 Win Over Stallions
St. Catharines went toe-to-toe with San Antonio before a winner was decided.

The St. Catharines Blue Jays beat the San Antonio Stallions, 10-7, at Alamo Field. The Blue Jays got a fine performance from third baseman Ryan Compton, who went 3 for 6 with a home run, 2 singles, and a walk, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. St. Catharines reliever Mike Dineen got the win, raising his record to 1-2. Armando Rivera was tagged with the loss.

The game was all tied up in the top of the 13th, until Compton delivered big-time for St. Catharines, stroking a dramatic 2-run home run off Armando Rivera. The game-changing hit put the Blue Jays on top, 9-7.

"I'm trying to see the ball big, see the ball up in the zone and put the barrel on it," Compton told the St. Catharines Observer.

The Blue Jays lead the Northern A West Division by 6 games.
