The Fremont Ambassadors, despite a fine performance by Huntsville pitcher Eric Mohr, grabbed a 3-2 win at Ballpark of Fremont. Mohr allowed 1 run over 5.2 innings. Brian Joiner picked up the win in relief. His record improves to 2-0. Luke Walley suffered the loss. The triumph makes Fremont 28-58.

Mike Scharn was the walk-off hero for Fremont. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Ambassadors first baseman hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.

Fremont manager John McNair commended his team for "banging out a nice win."
