Dust Devils Score Late to Nip Capitals, 9-8
|
The Kansas City Dust Devils outlasted Adam Stelting and the Tampa Capitals, 9-8. Stelting was impressive in the loss. The Tampa designated hitter went 3-3 with a home run, 2 singles, and a walk, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. Earning his 1st save of the year was Tim Jacobs. Kansas City, at 35-51, holds down 5th place in the Northern A West Division.
Ian Giddins contributed a productive at-bat in the top of the eighth. With runners on 1st and 2nd, he hit a run-scoring single. His at-bat helped Kansas City get the win.
"I'm just looking to see the ball, hit the ball," said Giddins.
