Deltaville beat Newark at Newark Fields, eking out a 5-4 win. The triumph was primarily due to left fielder Mario Castano. He was 2-4 with a home run, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. Deltaville reliever Timothy Lipinski picked up the win. Heath Johnston took the loss for Newark. At 29-56, the Deltas are currently 5th in the Northern A West Division.

Miguel Echavarria was 1-4 against the Flyers. With the game tied in the top of the ninth inning, he hit a sacrifice fly that put Deltaville in front, 5-4.

"We ground out the win," said Echavarria. "That's all that matters."
