The Fremont Ambassadors beat the Cottage City Cannonballers, 7-3, at Cannonballers Ballpark. Mike Grant, in particular, was impressive. He was 2-4 with a home run and a walk. He scored 2 runs and drove in 3. The third-place Ambassadors have won 5 consecutive games.
With Fremont trailing 2-0 in the top of the third, Grant hit a curveball from Chris Heil for a 3-run home run. It was his 10th home run of the season and put the Ambassadors ahead, 3-2.
"We'll kick back tonight, then get set for the next one," Grant said.
