Cannonballers Stumble, Lose 6-4 to Ambassadors
The Fremont Ambassadors weathered a fine game by Cottage City first baseman Mario Lopez to upend the Cannonballers, 6-4, at Cannonballers Ballpark. Lopez went 3-3 with a home run and a double. He scored 2 runs and drove in 2. Alan Malinowski picked up the win with 5.1 innings of work. He allowed 1 run on 4 hits, while walking 2 and striking out 4. On the season, he is now 1-1. Fremont has now won 4 straight.

Tied up with the Cannonballers in the top of the fifth inning, the Ambassadors got a boost from third baseman Andy Belot. With the bases loaded, Belot saw a full count fastball from Steve Esquivel and hit a 2-run single to break the stalemate and put Fremont on top, 3-1.
