Jet Hawks Mow Down Ambassadors, 11-4
|
Jet Hawks catcher John Bresette left his mark on his team's 11-4 win over the Fremont Ambassadors. Bresette went 3-5 with a home run and 2 singles. He scored 2 times for Grand Rapids in the contest. Grand Rapids pitcher Gregorio Argueta earned the win, hiking his record to 3-1. Eric Esposito suffered the loss. The second-place Jet Hawks have won 6 straight games.
Dale Coffey broke a 3-3 tie in the top of the fifth with a run-scoring walk. It put the Jet Hawks in front, 4-3. For the game, Coffey went 1 for 3 with a walk and was hit by a pitch.
"Nice to keep our winning streak intact," said Coffey.
