Applegate Rips 2 Home Runs in 8-4 Blue Jays Triumph
A 6-RBI performance from the 26-year old left fielder Jim Applegate helped the St. Catharines Blue Jays beat the Glace Bay Miners, 8-4. The winning streak has now reached 5 games for St. Catharines.

With St. Catharines leading 4-3 in the bottom of the sixth, Applegate came up to bat against Glace Bay pitcher Alvaro Salas. Applegate hit a changeup to right for a grand slam home run. His 24th home run of the season put the Blue Jays on top, 8-3.

"I'm trying to see the ball big, see the ball up in the zone and put the barrel on it," Applegate told the St. Catharines Citizen.
