Flyers Absorb 6-3 Home Loss
|
St. Catharines parlayed a decent outing from starter Kareem Craig into a solid win over the Newark Flyers. The final score was 6-3. St. Catharines goes to 48-35. The win puts them 5½ games up in their division.
St. Catharines used a clutch at-bat from Angel Lujan to capture the win. The third baseman hammered a 3-run home run in the top of the first inning to put the Blue Jays ahead, 3-0. It was his lone hit in 3 at-bats, but it was a humdinger.
"Obviously, you want to go out there and be good every time out," said Craig. "I take the ball every day with the same mindset."
