At Capitals Ballpark, the Tampa Capitals and Fremont Ambassadors were greeted by an enthusiastic crowd.

Led by Rene Aponte, the Fremont Ambassadors downed the Tampa Capitals, 8-4. Aponte went 2 for 4 with a home run, a double, and a walk, while scoring 2 and driving in 3 for the Ambassadors. The last-place Ambassadors now have a win-loss record of 24-57.

Early in the game, Aponte had a 3-run home run for Fremont. It was his 6th home run of the season and put the Ambassadors on top, 3-0.

"Nice to get this one," said Aponte. "Wins have been hard to come by."
