The St. Catharines Blue Jays beat the Grand Rapids Jet Hawks, 6-5, in part because of designated hitter Ricky Rodrguez. He went 1-3 with a home run and a walk, while scoring 2 times and driving in 3. Earning his 9th save for St. Catharines was John Decker. St. Catharines is 39-44 and Grand Rapids, with the loss, 50-33.
St. Catharines right fielder Mike Wisler helped the Blue Jays go up, 5-3, in the bottom of the sixth inning. With the game tied, Wisler hit a 2-run single off Grand Rapids pitcher Trevor Hill.
"Feels good to get the job done," Wisler said after the game.
