With 3-2 Win, Ambassadors Go to 45-37
|
Fremont Ambassadors starter Jorge Torres hurled his team past the Glace Bay Miners, 3-2. Torres yielded 2 runs over 6.1 innings to notch the win. He scattered 8 hits, walked 2, and struck out 6. His record improves to 5-4. With the win, Fremont pushed its record to 45-37.
The Ambassadors got a big at-bat from center fielder Jose Lopez. For the game, Lopez went 1 for 4 with a triple, while adding 3 RBI. In the bottom of the fifth, with the bases loaded, he stroked a bases-clearing triple. His 1st triple of the season gave Fremont a 3-2 lead.
"We'll kick back tonight, then get set for the next one," Lopez said.
