St. Catharines right-hander Cory Langan pitched his team to victory over the Tampa Capitals at Capitals Ballpark. The final score was 6-3. Randy Nitchals notched his 9th save of the season. The Blue Jays now have a record of 51-31 with the win over Tampa.

St. Catharines won the game in part because of Ricky Rodrguez. The first baseman ripped a 3-run home run in the top of the seventh inning to put the Blue Jays ahead, 6-2. For the game, Rodrguez had 1 double and 1 home run in 5 at-bats.
