In a tight tilt between the Santa Rosa Desperados and the Newark Flyers, Greg Brando was the difference-maker. The Santa Rosa right-hander excelled in his team's 3-2 win in 10 innings. Santa Rosa has an impressive 53-27 record.
Santa Rosa used the timely hitting of Bill Rys to seize the win. The first baseman stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the tenth inning to put the Desperados on top, 3-2. It was his only hit in 1 at-bat, but it was a game-changer.
