Aguiluz Helps Miners Defeat Desperados, 9-3
Mario Aguiluz was a major factor in the 9-3 Glace Bay win over Santa Rosa. The Miners shortstop went 3 for 5 with a home run, 2 singles, and a walk. He scored 3 times and drove in 3. With the victory, the Miners upped their record to 42-36.

With Glace Bay leading 5-0 in the bottom of the third, Aguiluz came up to bat against Santa Rosa pitcher Randy Fischer. Aguiluz hit a changeup to right for a 3-run home run. His 7th home run of the season put the Miners on top, 8-0.

"I'm trying to see the ball big, see the ball up in the zone and put the barrel on it," Aguiluz told the Glace Bay Gazette.
