Blue Jays Earn 3-2 Win Versus Desperados
In a tight contest between the St. Catharines Blue Jays and the Santa Rosa Desperados, Cesar Escobedo was the determining factor. The St. Catharines left-hander sparkled in his team's 3-2 win. Escobedo got the win, improving to 11-2. He gave up 9 hits and walked 1 over 7.1 innings. He allowed 1 run. St. Catharines, now 44-32, holds down first place in the Northern A West Division.

St. Catharines used a timely hit from Brian Ruffino to get the win. The shortstop stroked a run-scoring double in the top of the eighth inning to put the Blue Jays ahead, 2-1. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it made an impact.
