Blue Jays Pull Off Thrilling 7-5 Win in Extras
The St. Catharines Blue Jays picked up a win at Jet Hawks Ballpark, dropping the Grand Rapids Jet Hawks, 7-5, in 12 innings. David Tirado, who is tied for 8th in the N-A in innings pitched with 87.0, was the difference-maker. Bobby Hardy was called on to finish, recording his 2nd save. The defeat makes Grand Rapids 50-27.

St. Catharines used a clutch hit from Angel Lujan to get the win. The third baseman drilled a 2-run home run in the top of the 12th inning to put the Blue Jays ahead, 7-5. It was his only hit in 6 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.

"The only difference is executing pitches and not executing pitches," said Tirado. "When you don't execute, you get beat. When you execute, you usually give your team a chance to win."
