Deltas Suffer 8-6 Setback
Despite a fine performance by first baseman Zach Weakley, the Deltaville Deltas lost to the Newark Flyers, 8-6. Weakley was 3 for 4 with a home run and a double, while scoring 3 and driving in 2. Jeff Reade earned the save for Newark, his 1st. The Flyers, at 36-40, sit in 4th place in the Northern A East Division.

Jose Mora, who is tied for 10th in the N-A with a .401 on-base percentage, helped out the Newark cause in the bottom of the fourth inning with a run-scoring sacrifice fly. For the game, the first baseman was 1-4.
