Miners Rally Late to Clip Santa Rosa
The Glace Bay Miners had to overcome a good performance from Santa Rosa pitcher Casey Thill to claim a 3-2 win at Keelhaulers Ballpark. Thill went 6.1 innings and allowed 1 run. The win went to Peter Hoster in relief. His record improves to 1-0. Bill Blom took the loss. Cory Crabtree earned the save, his 18th, for the Miners.

Steve Muljana chipped in for Glace Bay, stroking a crucial 2-run single in the top of the seventh inning. For the game, the catcher went 3-4 with 3 singles. He drove in 2 runs.

"We hit some balls hard and didn't get rewarded for it," said Santa Rosa manager Angel Cano.

The Miners move to 50-27 with the win, while the Desperados drop to 32-45.
