Santa Rosa beat Glace Bay on the strength of starting pitcher Greg Amos's fine effort. The left-hander led his team to a win, 5-2. With the win, the Desperados have a record of 32-44.

The game was at a stalemate until designated hitter Zack Neal came to bat in the bottom of the eighth. Facing Glace Bay pitcher J.D. Pirillo, he hit a 1-2 fastball for a run-scoring single. It was a game-changer, putting Santa Rosa on top, 3-2.

"Greg executed his pitches at a high level," said Santa Rosa manager Angel Cano.
