The Glace Bay Miners beat the San Antonio Stallions, 8-1, at Miners Memorial Bowl. Keith DiPiazza went 2 for 4 with 2 home runs, while adding 5 RBI and scoring twice. The 24-year old third baseman was a menace to San Antonio all day. Josh Parrish notched his 3rd save of the season. Glace Bay is 53-24 and San Antonio, with the loss, 30-47.

DiPiazza had a big hit for Glace Bay with two out in the bottom of the fifth. With Glace Bay leading 2-0, DiPiazza hit a 3-run home run. It was his 15th home run of the season and put the Miners up, 5-0.

"I think we did a good job of looking for pitches we wanted to hit and put good swings on them," said Glace Bay skipper Angel Cano.
