The Deltaville Deltas weathered an outstanding game by Tyler first baseman Jamie Dillard to topple the Trolls, 5-3. Dillard was 3 for 4 with a home run and 2 singles, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. Deltaville reliever Hedde Castillo picked up the win, upping his record to 2-0. Justin Pratt took the loss. The setback makes Tyler 39-37.

An inflection point occurred with two out in the bottom of the second. That's when Deltas designated hitter Miguel Echavarria hit a slider from Jonathan Ramirez for a 2-run single. Just like that, Deltaville was up, 3-2.

"We did a lot of really good things and it was a good win," said Deltas manager Edgar Hernandez.
