Jet Hawks Score Late to Beat Ambassadors, 6-5
Due in part to designated hitter Tyler Renfro, the Grand Rapids Jet Hawks chopped down the Fremont Ambassadors, 6-5, in 11 innings. Renfro was 3 for 5 with a home run, 2 singles, and was hit by a pitch, while scoring 2 and driving in 2. Grand Rapids reliever Josh Williams picked up the win, upping his record to 1-0. Taylor Rowe took the loss. Grand Rapids occupies second place in the Northern A East Division at 45-28.

Renfro had a game-changing home run in the top of the ninth. On a 2-1 fastball from Taylor Rowe, he banged a solo home run to right-center, giving the Jet Hawks a 5-4 lead. It was the 11th home run of the year for Renfro.

"We're all about heart and hustle on this team. That's what wins ballgames," Renfro told the Grand Rapids Gazette.
