Rockets Rack Up 3-2 Win Versus Cottage City
|
In a low-scoring affair between the Huntsville Rockets and the Cottage City Cannonballers, pitcher Josh Riddick was the difference between victory and defeat. The Huntsville right-hander earned accolades for his stellar performance in the 3-2 Rockets win. Riddick, the winner, moves to 2-0. He threw 6.1 innings of 3-hit ball, while fanning 4 and giving up 2 walks. Huntsville goes to 42-30. The win puts them 3½ games up in their division.
Jason Bailey, who is tied for 5th in the N-A in triples with 3, had a direct impact on the outcome. Bailey contributed a 2-run triple in the top of the fifth inning to put Huntsville up, 2-1.
