The Newark Flyers took Grand Rapids pitcher Oscar Casas's best shot and still were able to claim a win at Newark Fields. The final score had Newark getting past the Jet Hawks, 5-4. Casas went 5 innings and allowed no runs, striking out 9. Newark reliever Chris Schreurs was the winner. His record is now 1-0. The losing pitcher was Jonathan Lamas. Newark raised its record to 44-27 with the win.
