The Cottage City Cannonballers withstood an impressive performance by Santa Rosa right fielder Rafael Farrand to defeat the Desperados, 7-4, at Keelhaulers Ballpark. Farrand was 2-4 with a home run and a double. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. Suk Moon picked up the win in relief. His record improves to 4-3. Eduardo Garcia suffered the loss. Jim Unknown recorded the save, his 1st.

Jaden Darden came through with a big-time hit for Cottage City. The left fielder smacked a 3-run home run in the top of the ninth inning to give his team the lead, 7-4. It was his only hit, but it was clutch.

In postgame comments, Darden told the Cottage City Times: "Do people still doubt I give 100 percent?"
