Capitals Use Late-Game Magic to Beat Blue Jays, 4-1
Tampa starter Andy Devane put the St. Catharines offense in a vise grip. The right-hander relied heavily on his fastball in leading the Capitals to a 4-1 win. Chun-mei Ding picked up the win in relief, improving his record to 1-0. Alex Gomez, who leads the N-A in complete games with 2, was tagged with the loss. With the win, Tampa raised its record to 39-32.

Tampa took a 4-1 lead on Clark Lewis's 6th home run of the season. The grand slam home run, which Lewis hit in the bottom of the eighth, left St. Catharines pitcher Alex Gomez visibly frustrated.

"Andy just went about his business, throwing strikes," said Tampa manager Jayden Gamble.
