Dust Devils Take Tight Tangle
Fans watched the Kansas City Dust Devils and the Glace Bay Miners fight to the finish.

The Kansas City Dust Devils defeated the Glace Bay Miners, 7-6. Doing his part was left fielder John Riggle, who was 3-5 with a home run and a double. He drove in 4 runs and scored once. Tim Jacobs snagged the win in relief. The left-hander allowed no runs on 1 hit over 2 innings. He's now 1-0 on the season.

Kansas City used the timely hitting of Mat Woolwine to seize the win. The third baseman stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the ninth inning to put the Dust Devils on top, 7-6. It was his only hit in 5 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.

"Being able to contribute to a win is always a great feeling," Riggle told the Kansas City Citizen.

The Dust Devils move to 31-39 with the win, while the Miners drop to 50-20.
