Ambassadors Capture Close Win
|
The Fremont Ambassadors earned a close win over the Kansas City Dust Devils, thanks in part to Jim Unknown. The Fremont left-hander played a key role in the 2-1 victory. The victory makes Fremont 20-49.
Casey Kearney found himself in a pressure situation in the bottom of the eighth. Facing Kansas City hurler Fernando Salas, the 21-year-old right fielder hit a sacrifice fly. His 1st RBI of the season put the Ambassadors on top, 2-1.
"We leaned on our pitching tonight," Kearney said.
