The first-place St. Catharines Blue Jays took on the Deltaville Deltas in front of a spirited crowd.

Hector Flores made an impact in the 16-4 St. Catharines win over Deltaville. Flores, who is tied for 9th in the N-A in bases on balls with 33, was 2-3 with a home run and 2 walks. He scored 2 times and drove in 4. Picking up the win was David Tirado. He went 5.1 innings, allowing 3 runs on 5 hits. The right--hander struck out 2 and walked 1.

Flores contributed a big hit, a grand slam home run, for St. Catharines in the bottom of the second. With his team trailing 2-1, Flores took a fastball from Kosuke Sakai and stroked the home run to left. His 4th home run of the season allowed the Blue Jays to leap in front, 5-2.

"I keep on showing up every day and trying to put up good at-bats and find good pitches to hit," said Flores.
