Blue Jays Roll to 8-1 Win Over Capitals
St. Catharines Blue Jays starter Jon Agans had all his pitches working at Engineers Ballpark. His stellar performance paved the way for an easy 8-1 St. Catharines win over the Tampa Capitals. Agans yielded 1 run over 7.2 innings to notch the win. He scattered 7 hits, walked 0, and struck out 5. His record improves to 5-5. Picking up his 2nd save was 22-year old right-handed pitcher Andy Mahoney.

Ed Montes de Oca had a big grand slam home run for the Blue Jays in the bottom of the eighth inning. With St. Catharines leading 4-1 and the bases loaded, he got a fastball from 21-year old right-handed pitcher Jonathan Gutierrez and swatted a home run to left. It was his 2nd home run of the season, and more importantly, it put the Blue Jays ahead, 8-1.
