Grand Rapids Nets 7-6 Win Versus Cannonballers
Cottage City shortstop Justin Freas had a terrific game, but it still wasn't enough to get his team a win. Freas went 3-4 with 3 singles and a walk, even as Grand Rapids beat the Cannonballers, 7-6, in 11 innings. With the win, Grand Rapids pushed its record to 41-24.

The clutch at-bat came in the bottom of the 11th inning, when Grand Rapids third baseman Rodrigo Velez, facing Alex Alvarez, had a run-scoring walk. It gave the Jet Hawks the 7-6 win.

"It was offense that won us the game," said winning manager Sadayuki Nishikawa.
