Jonathan Stahler did all he could to help his team win. In the end, though, it wasn't enough to keep the Kansas City Dust Devils from being beaten, 4-3, to the Glace Bay Miners at Kansas City Grounds. Stahler went 3-5 with a home run and a double, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. Jamal Jones, credited with the win in relief, is now 2-1. He allowed no runs on 1 hit in 2.1 innings. The Miners bumped their record to 36-28 with this latest triumph.

Lee Tyson delivered a big hit for Glace Bay. The pinch hitter drilled a 2-run home run in the top of the eighth inning to put the Miners ahead, 4-3. It was his only hit, but it was a beauty.

"We want to make a habit of winning," Tyson said after the game.
