Free Falling Dust Devils Lose Again
|
The Glace Bay Miners picked up a win at Miners Memorial Park, dropping the Kansas City Dust Devils, 5-2. Amir Hardnett, who was drafted in the 2nd round of the 2023 draft, was the difference-maker. Hardnett, the winner, moves to 2-0. He threw 6 innings of 4-hit ball, while fanning 5 and giving up 2 walks. The slumping Dust Devils have lost 11 straight.
Oscar Cordova drove in one run for Glace Bay. The 26-year old left fielder had a key at-bat in the bottom of the fourth. With one out and the bases loaded, he broke a 2-2 tie with a run-scoring sacrifice fly off Dave Romero. It was his 1st RBI of the season.
"This losing is getting old," said Kansas City manager Jaden White.
