Huntsville Beats Glace Bay in Extra Innings
|
The Huntsville Rockets topped the Glace Bay Miners, 2-1, in 10 innings at Miners Memorial Bowl. The game was highlighted by the performance of Huntsville pitcher Brent Holt. The victory gives the Rockets a record of 31-30.
Ken Hippler delivered a big hit for Huntsville. The second baseman drilled a solo home run in the top of the tenth inning to put the Rockets ahead, 2-1. It was his only hit, but it was a beauty.
"Not enough offensively in a winnable game," said losing manager Angel Cano.
