Schelling Shines in 4-1 Huntsville Win
|
The Huntsville Rockets defeated the St. Catharines Blue Jays, 4-1. Left Fielder Ian Schelling deserved a large share of the credit. Schelling went 3 for 4 with a home run, 2 singles, and a walk. He drove in 4 runs and scored once for the Rockets. Huntsville goes to 41-19. The win puts them 11½ games up in their division.
Huntsville took a 4-0 lead on Schelling's 1st home run of the season. The 2-run home run, which he hit off Carlos Serrano in the top of the seventh, propelled Huntsville to the win.
"We'll put this win in our pocket and go after the next one," said Schelling.
