Kansas City Picks Up Another L
|
Ballpark of Austin was the site of a true pitchers' duel.
The Huntsville Rockets got a good effort from starter Mike Redmond in defeating the Kansas City Dust Devils at Ballpark of Austin. The final score was 2-1. Joe Brackett locked down his 5th save.
Mike Bell, who is tied for 10th in the N-A in doubles with 11, chipped in a 2-run home run for Huntsville in the bottom of the seventh. For the game, the left fielder had 2 hits in 4 at-bats with 1 home run, 1 single, 1 run scored, and 2 runs batted in.
Afterward, Kansas City manager Tim Cargill said: "We were guessing wrong on pitches, and that's something we've got to get away from."
The Dust Devils, at 16-44, have lost 6 in a row.
