Getting an impressive start from John Decker, Newark beat Tampa by the score of 7-0. Decker got the win, improving to 3-6. He gave up 3 hits and walked 3 over 5 innings. He allowed no runs. Newark is now 39-23, while Tampa is 27-35.

Nate Sheridan had a big 2-run double for the Flyers in the bottom of the second inning.
