Kyle Sandor, who is tied for 5th in the N-A with a 10.4 K/9 rate, was terrific for the Newark Flyers in his team's 4-1 triumph over the Tampa Capitals. His performance earned Sandor rave reviews. Phil White was credited with the save for Newark, his 14th of the season. By defeating Tampa, the second-place Flyers improved to 43-19.

Alex Ochoa, who is tied for 9th in the N-A in triples with 2, had a direct impact on the outcome. Ochoa contributed a run-scoring single in the top of the third inning to put Newark up, 2-1.

"I'm just trying to make good contact," said Ochoa, "one at-bat at a time."
