Miners Prevail, 5-3, Over Grand Rapids

Larry Weese was locked in. The right-hander led the Glace Bay Miners to a 5-3 win against the Grand Rapids Jet Hawks at Miners Memorial Park. Cory Crabtree earned the save for Glace Bay, his 9th of the year. With the win, Glace Bay has a record of 42-18. Grand Rapids falls to 35-25.
The Miners got a big at-bat from designated hitter Kevin Sevener. For the game, Sevener was 1 for 4 with a home run. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. In the bottom of the third, with runners on 1st and 2nd, he stroked a 3-run home run. His 5th home run of the season gave Glace Bay a 3-2 lead.
