Flyers Squelch Capitals Offense in Shutout Win
In a tight tilt between the Newark Flyers and the Tampa Capitals, Kyle Sandor was the deciding factor. The Newark left-hander spearheaded the 3-0 win. Picking up his 8th save was 22-year old right-handed pitcher Keith Jong. The 4th-place Flyers improved to 38-19.

With scoring opportunities rare, the Flyers had to cash in when they had the chance. One such opportunity presented itself in the bottom of the third, when left fielder Justin Bobb hit a run-scoring double. The double came off Mike Kendra and made the score 2-0, Flyers. Bobb went 1-4 with a double and a walk.

"This is truly a great team to play with," Bobb said after the game. "We're like brothers, and when we come together to pull out the win, that just makes it all the better."
