Deltaville Rallies to 6-3 Win
|
Deltas left fielder Kevin Garber put his stamp on his team's 6-3 win over the Fremont Ambassadors. Garber was 2-5 with a home run and a triple, while scoring 2 times and driving in 4 for Deltaville in the contest. Jason Ginty snagged the win in relief. The right-hander allowed no runs on 2 hits over 3 innings. He's now 1-0 on the season. Deltaville, with the win, climbs to 17-42.
Had Garber not come through in the top of the ninth, who knows how the game would've ended? But with two down, Garber hit a grand slam home run. The Deltas took the lead, 6-3, and never looked back.
"We just try to have good at-bats, whether we're winning, losing, or tied," said Garber.
