Blue Jays Drop 5-1 Decision
|
Huntsville pitcher Brett Emma did his part in helping his team beat the St. Catharines Blue Jays, 5-1. The right-hander kept opposing batters from doing too much damage. The third-place Rockets improved to 32-27.
Huntsville used a clutch at-bat from T.J. Walker to capture the win. The first baseman hammered a 2-run home run in the top of the sixth inning to put the Rockets ahead, 3-1. It was his lone hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a humdinger.
"If you pitch well, you give yourself some opportunities," said Huntsville manager Tim Hodgson.
