The Grand Rapids Jet Hawks topped the Huntsville Rockets, 7-4, in Northern A action at Ballpark of Austin. The standout performance belonged to Grand Rapids pitcher and San Francisco de Macorís, Dominican Republic, native Chris Soto. With the win, Grand Rapids pushed its record to 35-20.

Who knows how it might've ended, had it not been for Mike Ayres? The Grand Rapids right fielder had a 2-run double in the top of the fifth inning to put the Jet Hawks on top, 4-2. For the game, Ayres had 1 double and 1 single in 5 at-bats.
